Writing Prompt Generator story #1

Once when I wanted to try something new, to go beyond the safety of my favorite story subjects, I used a Writing Prompt Generator to give me a first sentence. Sure, it was harder to write a story that way, but it also made me write and learn, and in the end I loved it!

For this swap you will write a story starting with the following sentence:

"You would have thought that would make it all better. But it didn't."

Your story can be about anything and everything, as long as the prompt is your first sentence! Fiction and non-fiction, everything is okay! Please try to make your story at least 500 words, explore the prompt!

You would have thought that would make it all better. But it didn't.
