I'd like to join this one! It would be nice to have a variety of these. But swap host say they will angel a swap when there is a flaker. But many don't. So unless I got it wrong could someone clarify what an angel for a swap actually does or the just a way for the host to say I'm sorry you didn't get your stuff.

To angel a swap means to fulfill the swap for a person who didn't send. It is not a requirement for a host to angel. Some hosts never angel, so you are taking a risk of receiving nothing if you join their swaps. Even if a host says she will angel, you should still expect your host to vet the participants and weed out problem swappers.

OrigamiGrace 07/26/2016 #

What @TC said! I do vet all participants but with newer swappers, it's harder to know how they perform. Many hosts say they will angel but they do not. Check your hosts - what is there hosting record? Are they seasoned? Well rated?

I angel 100% of my swaps and tag games, so that's why I don't host public swaps and very few here in NH. I host almost exclusively in my group, Cheap Postage! Hope to see you there soon.

I'm new to all of this but are die cuts allowed too?

JSC269 07/27/2016 #

I want to make sure I understand correctly...it's at least 5 different punches? And for colors, is it 5 different colors per punch design or overall? Thanks in advance!

OrigamiGrace 07/28/2016 #

Yes, die cuts are allowed as long as they fit the size requirement.

5 different shapes, 5 different colors - each shape does not have to be a different color! But when you open the envelope you should see 5 different shapes and 5 different colors.

KreativeKrafter 07/28/2016 #

can it be more than 5 colors and shapes?

KreativeKrafter 07/28/2016 #

and can it be patterned paper?

JSC269 07/29/2016 #

thanks!

OrigamiGrace 07/30/2016 #

Yes, any paper is fine and more than 5 shapes and 5 colors is fine, that's the minimum!
