Description:

This is for the holidaze. They're coming and they're coming fast and you may or may not know what to get Uncle Asher or your Sister Anel.

If you do not celebrate the holidaze, I'm sure you can think of SOMEONE that would love a gift! (Husband because he's finally washing the dishes on a regular basis or your best friend for getting your husband to start washing the dishes...)

Rules are fairly simple:

Please list below the friend, relative, co-worker, or apartment manager you know and love and a few of their likes and dislikes. We will all create something special, something to brag about that fabulous artist I know as a gift. Please do not specifically ask for a knitted scarf - it might be limiting unless you include some more general information about this person.

You will have one partner and this should be a great gift, at least a $20 gift (you are in charge of pricing your own work). Anyone with a no send will be banned, we are all members of the Professional Artists Group, and communication is key - please talk to each other if there are any doubts or issues! If you need any assistance at all feel free to contact me!

I would like to choose my Grandfather. He is a very content person but also has over 80 years worth of gifts, so it has become more and more difficult to come up with unique gifts for him! :)

He lives in Oregon, (born in San Francisco), so warm weather items are great: afghan, blanket, scarf, etc.

He's also very Jewish. Any unique artwork or craft that includes Judaica symbols or subject would be happily received.

He has a sweet tooth like no tomorrow. Always carries hard candies in his pockets. And, yes, he steals the rolls from the buffet because "they want you to take them."

He's very sweet. His wife, my grandmother, passed away last year, April and he has been extremely depressed. They were together for 70 years. (no kidding - started dating at 15, married at 19!)

He doesn't keep kosher, read, and is not very active. He gets out when he can and is very proud of his family. Musicals and black and white movies - and music by the Bagel Sisters or Andrew Sisters era is great. Also, any Yiddish or Jewish theater is great, too.

And, the man loves his handkerchiefs! His name is Milton - his initials are MR and his Hebrew name is 'Melech'.

He is a lovely, sweet, deserving man that I would do anything for.

Just read about your grandfather. I am sure I could come up with something appropriate. I shall think about which person I would like to chose and email you with some vitals. Ingrid
