Description:

"To understand is to perceive patterns."
- Isaiah Berlin

For this swap, let's focus our cameras on any kind of repeating pattern. You'll send 1 photo to 3 partners, as well as a short note about your chosen pattern.

Interpret "pattern" as you will. Whether it's lines on a pin-striped shirt, rows of wheat in a field, or cans stacked on the supermarket shelves--whatever pattern you see, and wherever you see it, is fair game.

You can use any kind of camera and send any size/shape print. You can digitally alter your photo if you like. You can print your photo at home or have it commercially printed--either is fine as long as the result is a good print that you're proud to send and would be pleased to receive.

And just so we're on the same page: this isn't an email/online photo swap; photos should be sent in an envelope by the good old-fashioned mail service. Sending in an envelope is one of the requirements for the swap--I want people to receive photos that aren't crumpled or marred by their journey through the post.

The fine print: 1) Newbies are welcome. 2) Rated swappers with a rating below 4.95 will be dropped before partners are assigned. I will also drop swappers whose profiles may cause concern; if there's something on your profile that you think might raise eyebrows, please contact me in advance. 3) This is an international swap!

Keep your eyes peeled for patterns--and have fun!
