Inspired by @squince s swap.

Send one postcard to your one partner and put a note to the postal carrier on it! Something like: "Dear Postal Workers, We're doing an experiment to see if this card is read by postal workers! Put a smiley face or heart here if you've read this!!"

That way we can see if they read it! You can be more creative in your message, but try to incorporate a way for them to say if they've read it! :D Postcards are senders choice!

Add the date/time and group name/swap. Weather is optional.

Once received, comment below on whether you received smileys and hearts or not.

If we can figure out how to write the same message in the recipient's country's language as well that may help to get even more smileys. What do you think?

I agree with Swan! Perhaps you an ask the person you send to, or PM the person you will receive from pro-actively with a suggested translation.

Okay SWAN and PNE, translations allowed.

Wait, we should write the message in our own language first right? Because If I write in english and then in the recipient's language my postal workers here in Portugal may not understand the message.

@WorldInMyMailbox I assigned partners before I saw this comment. You have a point. Everyone, write the message in English UNLESS you have room to write both languages (language + English translation.

@mb58ca so we will write in english and in our own language? I think it would be easier if we wrote in our own language (in my case portuguese) so my country's postal workers understand AND in the language of the recipient so postal workers in the recipient's country understand. Wouldn't that be better than writing in english?
