This is not your ordinary pocket letter. You will need a graphic large enough to fill the complete pocket page. (Graphics 45 and DCWV both make fantastic double sided card stock pages perfect for this.) Or you can create a master sheet of your own. Instead of cutting your cards ATC size you will cut them to fill your pockets. My dimensions for the one shown are 2 5/8 x 3 5/8 for the right 3 pockets (they would be the top pockets if it were a portrait) and the other 6 were cut 2 5/8 x 3 3/4. Some pocket pages vary so be sure and check. The easiest way is to lay the empty pocket on your graphic and note where the center lies. We want this to look as much like the original as possible so no large gaps and no trimmed areas between pockets. Make sure the back is not just blank white paper or card stock. If you are using a brand name card stock with designs front and back there will be no problem but if you created your own please take the time to add a little interest to the back. To decorate use stickers, tape, ribbons, paperclips, etc....anything fastened to the outside of the pockets. There is no need to decorate the actual card in the pocket. Because we are decorating outside the pockets, mailing flat in a large envelope is advised. You may tuck goodies in the back but it is not required. Please be sure to include at least a small card with your name and swap information. I reserve the right to ban participants. |
