Description:

There's been a good response to the current ornament swap, so we'll do it again in April. If you missed out on the 1st one, join us now!

Send ONE ornament to ONE person. The ornament MUST be handmade, in whatever craft you like to do. It can be papercrafted, painted, cross-stitched, crocheted, plastic canvas, or whatever. Please send something Christmasy and that you would be proud to hang on your own tree. You'll have 2 weeks once names are assigned to complete and mail your creation.

If there's enough interest, we'll do this again in June, August, and October.

To join, you must have a 4 or higher rating and a profile filled out. Newbies are welcome with a completed profile and a valid e-mail address. More than 2 no-sends will not be allowed. If you have 1 or 2 no-sends and feel you've been unfairly rated, contact me with the details.

If you have questions, please ask!

Let's keep Christmas with us all through the year. :)

This is an international swap.

there is a new flickr group to share swap-bot photos. the group name is "Swap-bot.com swaps"

gramsbuttonbox 02/27/2007 #

I am in this group, and would just like to make a request - I've gotten four swaps recently, with absolutely NO way of knowing who sent them - since many of us use "nicknames" here, PLEASE include some reference to that in the swap - otherwise, we have no way of rating the swap, or even knowing who it came from - I'm become so frustrated trying to find out WHO sent to me, even after reading every single profile, but with NO luck, I'm almost ready to give up! So please - pretty please - include your SWAP name somewhere in the swap!

Mary, I've had that happen, too, but only once. Contact the host of the swap, he/she should be able to give you the info. If any were from swaps I hosted, let me know, okay?

I made a community on livejournal for swap-bot swappers to post pictures of what they're swapping, make friends, etc. It is a very new community, and I think it will be a lot of fun as soon as you join.

Have a nice day.

I can't wait to see what I get I love Christmas so much. I hope you do have this again and again

LunaGirl 04/ 1/2007 #

Can't you find out your swapper's info when you go to rate them? For folks who don't send me their name, I usually wait until I can rate them and then thank them there. But it is a good idea to put the swa name on the package, even if you don't want to include your real name.

There's a package going on its way to meet "acraftgeek", in Canada...it left today and should be arriving by next week...Hope you like it Amy! Sandra

I just opened my ornament from Karen. WOW! It is the most beautiful dainty crocheted snowflake accented with tiny pearl beads. The yarn and beads were passed down from her 93 year old mother in law who is unable to crochet anymore. I feel very honored. This ornament will always be a treasure. Thank you so much, Karen!!!!!!

I just received mine today, from Jen L., and I just loved it...I also love X-Stitch. Thanks! Sandra

Thanks, Donna! I just love snowflakes, for some reason. Never thought to add beads (Karen, you've inspired me. Just reading Jenn's comments made me "see" such a lovely ornament in my mind. ) I hope your plain snowflake will be a welcome note to your tree this year, Donna, and you can look at it and know someone in Iowa is wishing you a happy winter.

Hi! Just wanted to tell my partner (no name on the box or inside, so not sure who you are ) thanks for the ornament! It arrived this afternoon, and is now hanging from a ribbon in front of my window, just to the left of my computer. Thanks!

JHi all: I was on vacation & mailed my package from Lanxaster, PA on 4/14/07. Today was the first day that I was back home & had computer access. I would think that my package may have already been received.

Thanks,

Sharon
