Hi all! This is my first book club swap and I am very excited. Please read all the information before joining this book swap, there is a lot to take in so please bare with me.
Please also understand that I know these books are not for everyone but it is impossible for me to please everyone. If these books are not to your taste, there are other book clubs for you to choose from (try the lit club website). Thank you! :)
P.s I know there is only 3 weeks until this swap starts- but I wanted to get it going as I am leaving swap-bot in october [having a baby!] and want to do at least two rounds of this. :)
SWL Fiction Book Club #1
Each swap we will be reading books from the book club list below. I get these books from the Waterstones Bestseller list and I will try and choose one from each fiction topic, and sometimes a "wild card" book (non fiction or biography).
To join this swap you must read at least one of the books on the book-club list. You are welcome to join this swap and participate if you have already read the book before this swap HOWEVER please make sure you have access to the book again, own it or have a good memory as you will still have to answer questions about it.
You will be writing to your partner about the book/s you read for the book club. There are questions below for you to use along with some bonus questions. Please also write a brief introduction, just about you and something about your taste in books. It would be nice not to just receive a quick, typed up letter answering the questions and something a little more personal and chatty.
One letter, about one book, answering the required questions below is all you need to do as a minimum for this swap.
You can download, buy, borrow the books below and read at any time, at any pace. You have until the deadline to write the letter to your partner so please make sure you can commit to getting access to the book, reading it and writing the letter BEFORE the deadline. Please no lateness!
Bonus & not required!
If you are an avid reader, bookworm, or perhaps you have more than one of the books below, or can access them at your library or read one recently & can choose another to read; as a bonus you are welcome to read as many books from the book club list as you can. If you do read more than one, please answer the book questions in the letter to your partner as well!
If you happen to read 3/5 books before the list, please head over to THIS forum thread and drop your name, details and answer a few questions. You will be entered into a giveaway hosted by me to win a small profile surprise. Full details in this thread.
Some of the books have Bonus questions which are next to the book name below. Answering these questions are NOT required in your letter and is optional, however encouraged. Please try to answer these questions in your letter about the book you read as well as the required questions further below.
