Why no magazine cut-outs? I've included magazine cut-outs of things like recipes and craft directions and the recipients have liked them. Thanks. :)

Is the Pocket Letter supposed to be decorated at all? Or just a plastic page with goodies in it? The PL community seems to be split on this, with some for decorating and some for not. :/

shalvorsen 05/11/2015 #

I always assume we decorate them. All of mine I have decorated and all I've received have been decorated. That's part of the fun! :) This is just my opinion I don't know the real answer.

Craft directions and recipes are fine cut out of magazines. I was referring to words, pictures and the like.

In this particular swap, the sheets are not required to be decorated. However, the extra effort might just earn you a heart <3

Alas, but then I will not receive a decorated PL back and what will I put in my folder. le sigh Thanks anyway! I'll keep an eye out for more of your PL swaps. :)

Yeah, I'm with user2637. I don't want just 9 pockets of stuff. :/ I prefer the creativity shown in the front of a PL.

I agree with @user2637 and @plushiecat .... I prefer to see the art/creativity of a pocket letter.......I do spend a lot of time making mine so that when the 'goodies' are removed, the pockets still make a pretty page....otherwise, what is the real point? 9 pockets of stuff is just a destash. Just my opinion, but thought I would give feedback as to why I won't join since it seems I am not alone in thinking this.

I think there are two kinds of pocket letters:
Ones that you tear apart and can use everything for your own crafts, these should be super inspiring and fun.
And ones that are prett

JessRoussos 05/16/2015 #

And ones that are pretty even after you take the goodies out. These ones tend to have fewer goodies to play with, but are prettier and have an aspect you can keep. Both are fun and I think as long as everyone knows the expectation going in either can work. Just because it isn't what you like doesn't mean you need to get in a huff over other people liking it. If you don't like it, create your own swap with the rules/people you want.

(stupid devices and the posting when you aren't done)

A packet went out to my partner today. Enjoy!
