{Part two} - Exploring words and collage

Swap 2: Using words and images in collage

Building from each previous swap, we will start using words and with collage. You may already have done this in other pages, for example from the mixed media pages. However, this time this swap asks you to specifically concentrate on using words to create collage. This can be a full page or kept to the minimum to keep it simplistic.

Page 1; Using words of any material on a background base of your choice, you add a minimum of 10 letters to your page in 2 different materials. For example, words written on tissue and stuck to the page, magazine cut outs, rubber stamps, hand written quotes/lyrics, letter/quote stickers; anything you can think of and find. Words must be the main focus and detail on the page.

Page 2; Using images, paintings, drawings of any material on a background base of your choice, you add a minimum of 2 pictures or drawings in 2 different materials. For example, a photograph, a painting, a drawing in pencil, a magazine cut out, a book picture, fashion photography, landscape, postcard cut out, calendar cut out, stamp, etc. Pictures must be the main focus and detail on the page; not words.

Requirements - Please see the forum post for full requirements.

• You will be creating both pages but you will only be sending 1 of the pages to your partner. Which page you send is your decision. You may try and make only 1 if you wish but this is a project so please see the forum for full details.

• Page must be no smaller than small postcard size. Any paper or card for your page is welcome. Please do not fold your page in the envelope and include a note for your partner.

• Please rate based on if your partner used the materials, NOT on what your partner has created.

• Any artistic ability and NO artistic ability is required. Everyone is creative here and anyone can do this swap. You are welcome to join in this project at any time.

• Please do your best work and do not send slop.
