Description: | |
A kitchengarden is a garden with vegetables and herbs. Best thing about a kitchengarden is: you don't need a real garden! You can grow it in pots on your balcony or indoor close to a window. Ofcourse it still is possible to grow it in your garden. This month (april) we will grow our own lettuce. Lettuce has several varieties, choose one you like. It is up to you if you want to grow your lettuce from seeds or want to start with a little storebought plant. This website gives an interesting approach of growing lettuce from a leftover: http://www.unbelievable-facts.com/2014/08/8-vegetables-you-only-need-to-buy-once.html Over the month you will make a few pictures of how your lettuce is growing. Send your partner an email with those pictures and share your experience about growing your own lettuce. Feel free to add other plants to your kitchengarden, but the focus of this challenge will be growing your own lettuce. I hope to do this every month and focus on different vegetables and herbs each month. I have a lot of lettuce seed, more than I'll ever use. If you want some then send me a pm and I'll send you some. Just remember international mail can take a while. Please keep in mind it might be illegal in your country to receive plant material from abroad, I don't take responsibility for this matter. |
