Backward Day.....

When : Always January 31st

Backward Day is a day to do everything backwards. Use your imagination, and Backward Day can be lots of fun. It's especially popular with school aged kids.

Try writing backwards or reading backwards. Wear your shirt with the back in the front. Eat your meal, starting with dessert. Now that's what I call fun! Walk backwards, or talk backwards. Play a board game backwards, from the finish line to the start. Are you starting to get the picture!?

This day is limited only by your imagination.

So for this swap you will ~

Write a short letter to your one partner starting from the right and writing to the left. The words do not have to be backwards (unless you want to), just the sentences!

Sound like fun? Then join in with me for some really good laughs!

With the address and return address sides exchanged, a lot of the letters may be returned to the senders as the addresses are read by machines mostly these days. If the machine goes from bottom to top, you might get lucky and the envelope will go to the recipient. If it searches for the address right to left, the envelope will go to the sender...

Swan ~ thank you! I never even gave that a thought! I will change it to stamp & return address only, do you know if that will work?

I think that would work better. The only thing I would see happen there is the return address possibly being obscured by the cancellation.
