Description:

Someone just showed me their newest "collecting craze"... Altered Playing Cards! These are very much like "normal" ATCs, except that they are created on Poker Sized playing cards, and the corners of the cards are allowed to show - so the number and suit are still visible.

The idea is to (eventually) collect a complete deck (all 52 cards) based on a particular theme. For this group swap, that theme will be (of course) Lost in Wonderland! Any character or iconic item from Alice in Wonderland or Through the Looking Glass should be featured on your playing cards ... Of course, the Queen of Hearts should be THE "Queen of Hearts"... right?!?

  1. Leave a post in the comments section below. If you already have an APC collection started with a Wonderland theme, you need to let your partner know which cards you need (Example: I'm missing the Ace of Clubs, Three of Diamonds, etc.) If (like me) you are just beginning your Wonderland themed APC collection... then it won't matter which number/suit your partner makes for you... so let them know you're ready for anything! :)

  2. Once partners are assigned, check the comments section to see what cards you'll want to do for your partner.

  3. Each swap participant will create 2 different playing cards for their (1) partner. Be sure to use Poker-sized cards (2.5 x 3.5) and leave the corners showing, so the collector can see which cards are being added to their set! Also, please do not allow embellishments to extend past the edges of the cards... the finished cards should slip easily into a trading card sleeve.

  4. Be sure to label the back of the playing card with your "signature" info... so we'll all know who created these wonderful little pieces of art for us!

  5. When you send your cards, please package them carefully. Use an ATC sleeve if you have them available, and/or bubble wrap if appropriate. In any case, use a stiff greeting card or mailer to send them in, reinforcing edges as needed to ensure that they arrive safely... wouldn't want the White Knight to gallop out of your envie during his trip, now would we?

This will be my VERY FIRST swap to host... EVER... so ya'll help me get it right, okay? Let me know if you have questions, or if I'm missing something in my swap description, and I'll do my best to get it all together!

I don't have any cards yet either, so it doesn't matter what cards I get.
