Description:

Let's build a cookbook! This is the second swap of a series of recipe card swaps. When the entire series ends, you should have enough recipe cards to fill a handmade cookbook, or enough to keep in a recipe card box to make a very nice collection! So here are the details

3 partners 2 recipes for a SALAD

Recipes must be on a card size 4x6 - they can be hand written or printed, but please put them on a sturdy cardstock, not just a computer paper printout. Handmade recipe cards are preferred, but not mandatory, there are a lot of awesome store bought recipe cards out there! Please make sure recipes are easy to read and directions are understandable if you are handwriting them :-)

Be creative but try not to over embellish cards so they can easily fit into a collection box or book!

I'm going to rate this a level 3, since I believe most of us will create our own recipe cards. If you choose to use store bought ones, please embellish in some way, OR embellish your envie, to keep with the level 3 rating. I will also allow newbies with a well filled out profile, and make it international. It is 1.15 to send a letter from the USA to anywhere else, so this should be very affordable! There will be three rounds going at the same time, and we will repeat each category at least once, as long as the swaps are going well!

I WILL angel this swap if necessary, but I will also be removing anyone prior to assigning partners that doesn't have a well filled out profile, or with any unexplained 1's or 3's. Please rate your partner a 5 if they send you a recipe fitting the category on time, even if the recipe isn't one you like! (I'm sure that goes without saying, though!)

Any questions? Feel free to ask!

This is a type 2 swap, no crafting involved. On my watchlist.

I gave it Type 3 rating because of the possible creative component in creating your own recipe cards. Will clarify in description. Wpregel, thanks for the comment :-)

4x 6 will be the standard size listed from now on. I haven't decided on every category yet, I wanted to see how well the swap took off first. Right now I am planning appetizer, soup, salad, chicken/turkey beef, fish/seafood, casseroles, dessert. I may split dessert into cakes, pies, and cookies/candy. I'm also thinking a veggies/side dishes category would be nice. I'd love everyone's input! What would you like to see?

I like this idea. I was wondering if anyone knows how to be notified if another swap to the one you are in comes up. For example we are currently doing salads but when you do appetizer how can I get swap-bot to notify me that the next swap was released?

Babsmomof5 08/10/2014 #

Swapbot won't notify you, sorry! I already completed one round of appetizers, but I've currently got soups, salads, seafood, and chicken recipes running, I believe. You can click on my name and on the right side of my profile it will show you the swaps I am hosting. I post new ones every 3 weeks or so. Thanks for participating! @amackie
