Description:

Summer is almost upon us! Many people take a vacation from their everyday lives during the summer. Some go camping. Some travel to visit family. Some visit the sites of our beautiful country. Some just sit back and read several good books! We have the theme of 'summer vacation'! Your postcard creation must feature one or more of your ideal summer vacation ideas. You can use any medium you prefer. You can draw or paint a scene. You can print out a graphic image you have made or found. You can cut out pictures from magazines. You can use rubber stamps or use paperstock images. You can even use real photos, but make sure to affix them firmly so they will not be ripped off by the postal machines! It's always a good idea to cover your homemade postcards with clear packing tape, découpage glaze or something similar to protect them in transit. And, of course, make something that you would not mind receiving. So, don't just slap on a single image and call it done. Add a decoration or 2, some contrasting paper, glitter, etc. Make it fun!

Postcards should be standard size, as per USPS, to mail for .34’ -

Dimension..........Minimum..........Maximum

Length 5-1/2 inches (13.970 cm) 6 inches (15.240 cm)

Thickness 0.007 inch (0.018 cm) 0.016 inch (0.040 cm)

Any similarities to any other swaps are coincidental.
