The Good News Gazette

Isn't the news today depressing? As Christians, we know that there is more going on than the tragedies we see on the TV screen every day. So, each of us will create for our partner a Good News Gazette which will include a week's worth of good news. You can make it in the format of an actual mini-newspaper, or you can write it like you would write a letter. But it has to include at least seven "good news" items in the following categories:

1. A Scripture of hope and promise

2. Something good that happened in your community

3. Something good that happened in your state.

4. A spiritual triumph in your life, past or present

5. A funny cartoon or joke

6. An account of something positive you read online. Edited 6/13/14 For this article, feel free double up any of the other articles, or to create your own category.

7. A devotion, created by you, about something you've learned lately in your walk with God.

If you want to include more than 7 items, that is fine. If you want to include a topic that is not listed above, such as artwork or a recipe, for instance, that's ok, too. But since this will be your weekly "newspaper", it should have at least these 7 articles.

We will have a whole month to come up with our seven articles, so I'm thinking that if we really open our spiritual eyes for 30 days, we will find some exciting things to print in our "newspaper"!

The swap is open to every member in this group. Yes, I will angel, but, really, it's not even necessary for me to say that, right?
