Description:

I am so excited to be a part of this group Γ’β‚¬β€œ it made me sad when I used to look at the old group, as it looked like it had been fantastic!.

Anyway, my first swap in this group is;-

A Hundred Acre Wood Art Journal.

For a lot of people, sending out an actual journal each month can make it too expensive to participate, so for this series of swaps we will send out a journal page, which can then be added to your own journal Γ’β‚¬β€œ you could make a new journal just for these swaps, or could add them to an existing journal.

There will be a different subject each month, from the breadth of childrens literature, so we will have a good variety. Any suggestions/requests on subject, just let me know.

The only rule on the swap is that the page size must be approx. A5 (which is 8x6 inches, or 21x15cm) and bear in mind that the page has to be added to a journal, so try and leave a small margin on the left hand side for hole punching etc. Also, do not fold for posting, it must be sent flat (may be an idea to add a piece of cardboard so the post doesnÒ€ℒt screw it up).

You can use whatever medium you like Γ’β‚¬β€œ digital art, collage, drawing, painting etc.

To start things off, the subject for this month is Eeyore.

Any questions, comments etc. please comment below, or PM me.

As this is a group swap I am not setting a rating, but will obviously double check all swappers before assigning partners.

I've never done art journal pages before! Does it matter what kind of paper is used for the page- should it be cardstock or something thick-ish?

It doesn't have to be cardstock, just something thicker than normal paper. I quite often use scrapbooking pads

Do we decorate both sides of the page?

zoev1975 05/30/2014 #

Hi, just one side, so that your partner can add it to an existing journal if they want.

Do we leave a space for them to write like a regular journal or is the whole page to be decorated without writing space?

MissWhimsy 06/ 2/2014 #

Nevermind I just googled art journal, I get it now!

Yeah not so much for writing as for the art we do :-)... At the end you will have a cool book of art made by members of the group!
