Description:

Here is a challenge for those who are interested. Something to get your teeth into. First of all some background information.

What is a Triptych? It is a work of art that is divided into three sections, or three carved panels which are hinged together and can be folded shut or displayed open. We will be keeping our three panels separate to keep it simple for now. For examples Google Triptych ATC and see a ton of beautiful examples.

We will be making one set of 3 related, not physically attached, ATCs for ONE partner, ATCs that also look reasonable on their own. (A Triptych is a picture on three panels. Traditionally hinged together vertically and used as an altarpiece -OR- any set of 3 associated artistic works meant to be appreciated together.)

So basically one picture or scene divided into three sections. 1 partner one set of three cards.....Senders choice. I will make this a longer post date so we can research and create without rushing.

I hope this all makes sense..... Any questions please ask.

Hi Sharon! Is it ok to "hook" them together if we choose or must we send them as three individual ATC's? I've had good luck using simple washi tape for triptych "hinges"

Can't resist commenting--my kids (adults) and hubby would be telling you I've come "unhinged" already!
