Description:

Creating inchies is fun for everyone!

This inchie swap is beginner and not-so-beginner friendly, so if you have never made an inchie or if you have made several hundered, please join in on the fun!

In this swap, you will have 2 partners and create them each 4 inchies.

2 partners x 4 inchies = 8 total inchies

Please don't forget to include your swap-bot user name and the name of the swap somewhere in the package so your partner knows who to rate!

What is an inchie?

An inchie is a 1" x 1" piece of mini artwork created by you. The only requirements are the measurements and that it be sturdy. They can be painted, sewn, collaged, needle felted or any combination of techniques. They should be creative. Card stock with a sticker is NOT a quality inchie.

Theme:

The theme for this swap is open since it is to help those new to inchies gain more experience and get feedback. Also, since it is an open theme, you don't have to wait for partners to be assigned before you start working on them.

Medium:

The medium for your inchie is up to you: sturdy card stock, grunge board, fabric, chip board, polymer clay, watercolor paper or whatever strikes your fancy. Empty cereal boxes can be used as inchie blanks, too and it is a very environment friendly idea. Not to mention they are very sturdy, so consider backing your inchie with a cereal box blank if it seems flimsy.

Guidlelines:

NO KNOWN FLAKERS: No 1's and no 3's within the last 4 months without contacting me to discuss the situation and even then, you might not be allowed to swap. I want the people who sign up to have dependable partners.

NEWBIES WELCOMED: Provided you contact me to let me know you are serious about joining and have read the guidelines.

QUALITY INCHIES: A sticker on a blank piece of card stock does not count as an inchie. Put effort into your inchie and make something that you would like to receive.

IT IS: an international swap, so your partner may be overseas, but inchies are low cost to ship.

I WILL: be checking profiles to ensure that no flakers join, but if you see someone questionable sign up, please contact me. I would rather ban someone rather than lose good swappers.

IF: someone winds up being flaked on, I will angel them or find another kind soul who will.

REMEMBER: we were all new to inchies once, so be kind if your swap partner is new to the craft.

PLEASE: contact me if you have any questions. You can leave a comment below or send me a PM through Swap-bot.

HAPPY CREATING!

I am interested in joining your swap. I am a newbie, but have done inchies and twinchies before in swaps. Please look at my profile, and let me know if I may join. Thank you.

I will be camping this weekend (April 18-12) so won't have my laptop for assigning partners. I will have my phone, but sometimes swap-bot is difficult to navigate on the mobile, so partners might not be assigned until Sunday when I get home.

Thanks for understanding!

So had a little problem - it is the newbiness in me my bad - sorry.

I had my hubby mail my packages and then went out of town for work. Just got back and found out he didn't mail them because of some paperwork for customs that I have to fill out. I will do that tomorrow and then mail them - but I feel terrible so I Unsent - my previous Sent.

Should I email the person it was going to so they are aware?

Please help someone!

Thanks, Cindy
