CL JOURNAL – Pick 15 PROMPTS USA Only

INSTRUCTIONS:

One journal to one partner.

Pick 15 out the 20 prompts from below.

Please try to make this fun and use your creativity.

No one word answers please.

Please decorate the outside of the journal.

Journal must include an Introduction Page. This is the page that you will write something about yourself and include a picture.

This is the sort of swap you can start on right away - it is not profile based.

You will have a little over 30 days to complete it.

SIZE and TYPE:

Journal to be a composition notebook [size 9 34/ by 7 1/2]

Then Pick any 15 Prompts Below:

[NOTE:If your prompt requires more than one page you may include as many pages as you need per prompt. The requirement is that each prompt be at least one full page]

1. Write five things you cannot live without and why.

2. Take any picture from a magazine/newspaper and alter it. You can cut it, make a collage, draw on it. Be creative.

3. Write your favorite quote from a book. Explain why you like it. If you have more than one – it is okay to list them.

4. Create a page about your favorite drinks when reading. Can be coffee, tea, margaritas, beer, wine. It’s your favorite drinks – don’t’ be afraid to share.

5. Create a page full of circles.

6. Name your favorite book. Include Title, Author and a short summary.

7. Trace your hand on a page and decorate it.

8. Take a postcard and glue it on the page. Explain why you picked the postcard.

9. You can only use crayons for this page. Please write the words “Carpe Librum”. Feel free to add as much detail as you want. This can include drawing some pictures, coloring in the letters on the page. I want to leave this up to the creator of the journal.

10. Write about your favorite childhood toy. If you can – please include a picture.

11. You are having lunch with your favorite author today. Please describe where you are and who you are with.

12. Name a machine/device you cannot live without and why.

13. Name five things you look for in a book. (These are things that you look for before reading – examples can be – Looking up the book online and checking reviews, checking out information on the author, checking the font size of the book, how many pages does the book have, does the book cover intrigue me?, hard or soft cover)

14. Draw a flower. Include the words – “Carpe Librum” somewhere on the same page.

15. Create a message to your partner on a separate sheet of paper or material. Cut it up and paste it randomly on the page. Include the decoded message somewhere on the page so your partner knows what the message is.

16. If someone were to write a book about you – how would they describe you? Include at least 3 things but you may include more. Please no one word responses.

17. Name a charity you are involved with. Include a website reference (if possible).

18. Describe your favorite author. Please include pictures if possible.

19. Get your partner interested in a book you are reading. Take a random page from the book and photocopy it or handwrite the page. Include the name and author of the book.

Just to clarify... Does this require a premade/bought composition book or can one make a book with the pages we write? In other words, will this be part of a series that goes on to someone else for further filling or just a single round/recipient?

This is just a single round for now to see how this goes. Should be a premade composition book you purchase in the store.
