Description:

I know this is a busy time when some of us slow down on swapping so as to not get overwhelmed, However I don’t want us to get too far afield from swapping so this is what I came up with:

A fun swap that won’t close until the end of the year and won’t have to be sent until the middle of the new year!

The fun part will be that it’s themed for the individual but still easy for the sender. This is not a profile swap so each person MUST list their themes in the comments below. Profiles can be lengthy and hard to sort through so this is really short and to the point!

Once you join you need to go to the comments section below and list 5-7 themes that you will be using for your art and junk journals.

Themes can include specific things like: owls, birds, vintage fashion, flowers, spring or children’s nursery rhymes. They can also include more general things like: a color, a season or holiday, a category such as postcards or old book pages. If you have a favorite word or quote that you like to include in your books, such as, Live Laugh Love, Peace, Harmony, Hope or Bloom where you are planted, please mention that as well.

Now, the even more fun part! Once you get your partners list from the comments below get to work gathering and/or making up at least 7 items that they can use in their journals. It is SENDER’S choice on whether to send items from one theme or whether to mix them up and send items from several themes. However all items should match a theme or category in some way. You may send raw items or if you are so inclined you may want to make some tags or journal cards ect ready to use.

I’m making this first swap of the year international so it’s inclusive for everyone. With that in mind you may send all flat paper items so the size and weight will constitute a letter (rather than a package) which helps with international shipping.

I’ll be checking ratings before I assign partners just to make sure everything is good with everyone.

Happiest of Holidays to everyone and as always Happy Swapping!

Here's my list:

Owls Hope - the word, a quote or hope inspired Goddess Mother/child Motherhood Citrus colors used postage stamps Doorways, pathways or windows zentangled anything

I also use a lot of tags and journaling cards. I don't collect post cards but I use them in my books in almost any theme. I also make atc's and rolos so any small pieces that can be used for those are great too! I also can always use vintage almost anything.

I like birds, nests and eggs, bright colored paper (think Fiestaware), sewing items - trims, buttons on cards, rickrack and buttons, mini envelopes, stamped images - again birds, sewing or crafty, alphabets/fonts - you can cut out letters from a magazine, tickets and tags.

If you are a Gelli plate fanatic, I'd love some of your Gelli prints - bits and pieces or a whole piece!
