Description:

@stephiedee has allowed me to adapt her recent swap in the Cut&Paste group.

For this swap, let's swap bodies! Paper bodies, that is. Remember those kids books that let you swap parts of bodies to create different people or animals? Each page had three sections, so you could turn the page and make a new creature?

For this swap we will be creating mix-and-match style Zetti figures. Each mixed-up figure will consist of 3 separate sections, with each section on a separate 2"x2" square (twinchie), like the image.

  • square 1: head & neck
  • square 2: torso with arms
  • square 3: legs & feet

"Arms" and "legs & feet" are totally up to you - they don't have to be humanoid or even posses a conventional amount/type of appendages. Peg leg, wings, tentacles, 3 legs and a tail, hook hands, tree limbs...go for it.

We'll each create 3 figures which will come out to 9 twinchies per person. When it comes time to swap with your partners, KEEP your favourite figure and send your partner the other two. When you get the swap, play with them!

The interpretations of Zetti is completely the creator's choice. Feel free to be silly. Zetti is whimsical, fun, colourful and a little weird! We'll already be cobbling together body parts - it'll be pretty easy getting the Zetti look here even if you're a bit nervous about "getting" the look. I know I still am.

Create your twinchies using sturdy bases and collage techniques. On the back of the twinchies you send to your partners, sign your name & username.

If you have ANY questions, please ask!

The inspiration for this swap (and the example twinchies above) came from a blog by Jennalee.

I think I'll attach a magnet to the back and put them on the fridge to play with!
