Description:

Easy as pie!

For this swap, you will send your partner an envelope at least 6x9 inches with 10 or more vintage paper items, at least half of which must be large size like book pages (the other half can be things like bus tokens, playing cards etc).

The requirement is for paper items only so that it can be a flat swap to keep postage low - but of course there's nothing saying you can't add other fun items if you want to!

Of course you are free to spoil your partner and add more than the minimum required as well as any additional vintage finds you want to send! :)

ALL ITEMS MUST BE GENUINE VINTAGE OR ANTIQUE EPHEMERA (1960s or earlier) - no reproduction, nothing printed from the internet.

Ideas of items you can include:

  • book pages
  • needle books
  • playing cards
  • postcards
  • travel maps/guides
  • bus tickets
  • photographs & cabinet cards
  • coupons
  • recipes/cookbooks
  • random booklets
  • date planners
  • magazine pages/ads
  • note cards/stationary
  • postage stamps
  • ration stamps/cards
  • business/trade cards
  • bingo cards
  • button cards

Items must be clean, and not have any strong smells like smoke, mildew, mold or mothballs. Don't send stuff that's torn or so damaged you can't use it anymore.

Please also add a personal note to your partner and add some decorations (mail art) to your envelope - you don't have to be an artist, just have fun with it! :)

You're encouraged to use actual postage stamps if possible (bonus if you use vintage stamps!) but this isn't required.
