So I thought this would be a neat swap to attempt!!! Since journal swaps have a high turn over rate.... Don't join if you'll get insanely upset if your journal may wind up missing one day.... But I'm hoping everyone who will join will join KNOWING this is a 'long term' commitment swap... Meaning every month you will have to join this swap, so you can keep the journal moving so it gets filled up quicker! If you don't think you can commit to that.... Don't join!

I also know a few of our members suffer from various arthritic conditions and have a hard time writing so you are allow to type it up and glue it into the journals if you'd like!

So you will get a notebook... Any size... The more pages it is the longer it will take to fill up obviously. So be aware of that when you are choosing :-)

Then you will put your information on the inside of the front cover and inside the back cover as well. The first page you are going to introduce yourself. Tell your life story if you'd like! The more pages you fill, the better! Next you will write a journal entry about your day... weekend... week... how youre current mood is..... whatever youd like since its a journal after all!!! Then after you are finished you will go to the next page and wrote a prompt for your partner to answer.

The rounds after this will then be you answering the prompt by writing a minimum of 2 pages. You will then write a minimum of 2 pages about your self and then a minimum of 2 pages about your day/weekend/week/whatever is making you happy/sad/upset... Just wrote about whatever! Then you will add a prompt for the next person to get the journal... And so on and so forth!

I think this will be a super fun swap as long as we can get some commitment!

So will this be an "In Group" type swap only. Similar to the Slam Book Swap that was just up?

This would be the 1st time I come across journaling. I gave a few questions: Can you make the notebook? Front & back cover with different types of pages? Every time we get a book it's a minimum of 4 pages? Do we design & decorate the covers? Do we send the pages pre-decorated? If not do we decorate the pages in the books we write in or is it just writing (which is fine รฐลธหœล ). Everyone's books may be completed at different times? What happens if a book is full? It is sent home and we start a new one? If I'm the last one to write in a book how can I join the swaps (in the hopes of getting mine back) if I sent the one I had home? What do I send in my next swap?

I'm sorry but I like learning how to do things the right way--I don't want to disappoint my new partnersรฐลธหœยand this sounds really interesting!

@miange yes it is an in group swap :-)

@cauti92 you could make your own notebook if you wish, just be sure there's a good amount of pages in case some partners want to write more :-) if you'd like to do art work and decorate a few pages to tell a story that would be fine as well :-) I personally went and bought a little notebook with 80 pages in it with an already pretty cover but you can def decorate the covers of a plain one of you'd wish. You don't need to pre decorate the pages, that's up to whom ever gets your journal to do if they'd wish. Writing is all that is required though. Yup every time you get the book it's a minimum of 4 pages.... That's just one side though so 2 whole pages together In a standard size composition note book. If your journal is smaller that you receive just use your judgement on what would be an ideal length then equivalent to a composition notebook. And yes everyone's book can be completed at different times depending on how many pages and the size and once the book is full you send it on home to your partner like you would a friendship book, slam, etc. if you'd like to start a new book once you get yours back you can or just exit from the swap then as yours will still be in rotation until someone will send yours back, so you don't need to be in the swaps then. We will have issues of having the same partner more than once if we for get enough sign up, and in that event you just proceed with the swap as normal, write in it again... If you get yours back from someone too because that's the one they have on hand and they are your partner, it's ok to check the progress on it and add to it as well :-) hope I answered everything !

I love this idea, but I'm not able to join this time, too many commitments already. Maybe for the second round.

Okay, I will give it a try. I will probably include pictures from magazines, etc. also. I can fill up about 10 pages in a journal. I will also have a theme for my journal, so should be fun.
