Description:

Because the first round had a pretty good participation and people seemed excited about it I am making a 2nd one! I didn't get enough inquiries last time to make it international yet, but if you are international and interested please comment below so I know weather to make it international the next time:-)

I also would like to add that all swaps that I host, I assign partners right around midnight after the sign up date is over. I also am VERY thorough when going through my swappers who signed up so you all will hopefully be guaranteed not to be flaked on! I make sure that they dont have any questionable ratings, bad comments, they have several hearts, a well filled out profile and that they have signed on since the date they signed up for my swap. If you do get flaked on I will angel, but I should not need to as I hope everyone will follow through with their commitments!

Now on with the good stuff...

I have a good collection of old plastic prescription medicine bottles laying around because they are nice to store small things in them! I'm sure many of you have pill bottles laying around weather it be prescription bottles, vitamin bottles, or allergy medicine! Lets put then to use and make them look pretty than add a small surprise inside for your partner! It's kinda like a matchbox decorating or whimsey jar but with a pill bottle!

You will have 1 partner, and you will use any kind of medicine bottle you have laying around and if you dont have any laying around maybe ask a friend or family member! The shape and size don't matter at all. Please wash out the pill bottle first though because medicine can leave a powder residue inside of them. You then will decorate the bottle however you feel fit since you are the artist! What you use as a surprise to fill it with is senders choice, but if you are able to fill it with things you know they'll like based off their profile kudos to you :-D if you are having trouble thinking what to put inside your bottle some ideas could be: stickers, labels, candy (in wrapper please), ribbon, lace, any odds and ends laying around like ephemera. You get the drift now! Also include a note about how you got the bottle (having it lay around, got it from someone, went out and bought it for the swap) and why you picked the items you put in it for them. Everyone likes to hear about the time and effort that went into projects they receive! :-)

I will only accept people with a swap history of high ratings since with will have to be sent in a package. I am also keeping this USA only for now to see how it goes over, if its popular than I will make an international one.

When you are rating, please be fair! Not everyone can be perfect artists. As long as you receive what the swap calls for, they should get a 5 for effort:-)

If you have any questions, please message me and I will do my best to answer you ASAP!

Take care and happy swapping!!

Ha, this is AWESOME. If this swap is popular, do you think you could do a USA/Canada one at least? :D

Grapefruit7625 03/31/2013 #

@silverhealer international postage rates are the same to any country now, so if enough international people say they're interested ill def do it for the 3rd one.

Why are so many swaps US only? It is like international people aren't wanted on swapbot. :(

Grapefruit7625 04/11/2013 #

@lizard due to the cost of sending packages is why. I'd love to do an international one but you are only the 2nd person to express interest :-/

Please keep these going - I won't be able to participate in this round but I definitely prefer regional since even just flat envelope swaps international are so expensive. Just mailed out a mail art swap to Europe that set me back $13!! Hope to see more medicine bottle swaps - YAY!!!

International shipping costs is through the roof. I don't participate in International swaps because of this. I can only afford to ship to the USA.

Thanks for the support everyone! If there is anything you need please don't hesitate to message me!

I hope that you will do another one of these when you return!!

I spent $17 sending a swap to Australia and it was the small box that costs $5.80 to send regionally...I could not believe it If I would have used the priority box it would have been $26. It crazy how much shipping costs.

I was looking for a forum or a link from where I can know about the best medicines for my body. I got one now in the shape of https://borderfreesupply.com/ . I am so happy that I will work on these things.
