Description:

Back by popular request, it's the Reuseable Grocery Tote Swap, only this time it's INTERNATIONAL.

Based on some feedback I have received, we will make this very simple: you send your partner one (1) reuseable grocery tote bag. This can be a handmade bag (make sure it's sturdy), or a store-bought one. If you have a preference as to which kind you would like to receive, please leave a note below.

Including something extra with hearts in mind is up to you.

Please, only swappers with a 5.0 rating. Please contact me with any questions or concerns.

Is this for a storebought bag or a handmade bag?

Bonnie1952 04/ 9/2008 #

I was thinking store-bought. What does everyone else think?

camdam888 04/ 9/2008 #

I try to make as many things as I can, it makes for more unique items! Imagine the fabrics we could find for this!

TryshaH81 04/ 9/2008 #

I joined but I can only stay a part if I can send a store bought bag.I don't mind receiving a handmade one but I can't make them myself.

GaijinGirl 04/10/2008 #

I'd vote to make it either/or, that way everyone is able to join.

Bonnie1952 04/10/2008 #

How about this? In an effort to please everyone, we'll say either handmade or store-bought, but if anyone has a preference for what they would like to receive they can post it here.

I'd be happy either way.

If I get partnered with someone outside the UK, Id love a store bag from a store not in the UK (does that make sense?! - Its late, I really should be in bed!)
Otherwise Im really happy to have store bought OR hamndmade

hoppyloo 04/10/2008 #

I would prefer not to make one though ... couldnt promise a strong enough one!

TryshaH81 04/10/2008 #

Mine can be either or! I like handmade but store bought is good too! However I can only send store bought!

pennysquisher 04/10/2008 #

I have no preference whether it's homemade or store bought, I was just curious because it didn't seem clear in the description. It would be cool to get a bag from a store in a country outside of the US (but pretty disappointing to get one from WalMart or Target).

ozrob 04/14/2008 #

My local supermarket has some great re-use bags. They come in a great range of bright colours too!

scoutdiva 04/15/2008 #

I can either send a handmade one or a store bought one, whichever my partner would prefers and I dont have a preferance on what i receive either.

!!!

I'm not the best at sewing, but if my partner really wanted I could try!

Also a great idea for someone sending internationally would be to omit the plastic bottom to save on shipping! If both you and your partner did this, then you'd each have a replacement! Or if it didn't quite work out that well, you could also recycle some packaging material from a purchase to create a new bottom that is environmentally conscious...

Locally for me are Wal*Mart (black), Wegman's (black), Giant (dark green), Redner's (paper bag brown), Target (although I don't have any from Target, bright red)

If my partner would like to get one from a national chain, and decorate it a wee bit (because sometimes you want them to not have to ask if you are purchasing!) That would be really fun!

symphonie 04/15/2008 #

I can't sew, so I hope my partner won't mind a purchased one. I will do my best to make it interesting.

JennieMaeD 04/18/2008 #

I have no preference, but I can't sew, so it will have to be a purchased one from me.

szreader 04/18/2008 #

Either handmade or store=bought is fine with me. I've already purchased the one to send to my partner!

Drachenfrau 04/19/2008 #

I would love a handmade one, wheter made by my partner, or bought, but a store-bought-one is ok too. :-)

Can't sew, so I only can send store-bought, but I can get nice, not boring looking ones. We use them a lot here in Germany.

dabjnb 04/22/2008 #

I would love a handmade one, but either one is fine. The one I send will be store bought, as I don't so much.

I have to say I am a HUGE fan of reuseable totes...I got a boat load of cute ones from Trader Joes...tey are sturdy and really cute. I got a few form IKEA also not a cute but do the job...I say Martha today HAPPY EARTH DAY>..SO I think I will make my partner one and decorate with Potatoes that you carve and stamp on your fab. So cute and earth friendly!!

rengawk 04/22/2008 #

Oh I love the potato stamp idea!!

lilmissthrifty 04/23/2008 #

STORE BOUGHT FOR ME!!! PLEASE

Babalina58 04/24/2008 #

I hope I get a partner that would not care hand or store! I just really want to be able to do whatever but if I get ne that is ONLY this or ONLY that I guess I will have to deal with it LOL....Happy Shopping ladies!

I have my bags ready to go already just need a partner! rotfl I love bags

SweetClementine 04/24/2008 #

If my partner is outside of the US, I would love a store bag from somewhere I can't get here. If in the US, I would be happy with store bought or handmade, but I'd really like to receive something that I don't have easy access to in Texas! Thanks!

I have access to: HEB, Target, Walmart, Whole Foods, Walgreen's, Costco, & Ikea. I also get Trader Joe's bags from my sister in California (they're COOL!).

Tinypawsxx 04/24/2008 #

i'd prefer a store bought one, something girly n cute, heh!

paintedbooklady 04/25/2008 #

I don't care at all. Whatever you want to send me is great.

Pikaboo 04/25/2008 #

If it's not too late I just wanted to let my partner know that I don't have a preference whether it's store bought or home made. I have store bags from P&C, Wegmans and Target so anything different would be great!

JWeather 04/25/2008 #

I don't have a preference on bags either! If it is a storebought bag, I would prefer to have one from anywhere that is not Target or Walmart.

ozrob 04/27/2008 #

wow! who knew sending empty grocery bags would cost so much!!

Godsrockangel 04/29/2008 #

Not fussed - something unique and different would be cool!
