Description:

This is a revival of littlewanda's Felt Robots swap. She was making all of us felt addicts really happy with so many wonderful felt swaps before she had to go on a break (at least I hope it's only a break for her sake)

She's given me permission to take on some of the swaps that were canceled when she had to leave.

FELTBOTS ACTIVATE! DANGER DANGER FELTBOTS!

So apparently this is for all you feltie lovers, but also for us ROBOT lovers. Even better if you're a feltie AND a robot fanatic!:)

So here's the low down (some based on her rules from previous swaps and some changes)

You will make one felt stuffie for one swap partner. Make something your partner will absolutely love put some heart and soul into your little feltbot!! If you're feeling particularly ingenious, you can add a little "instruction" sheet with your robot. Tell your partner a little bit about your robot and what it's particular job, or function is. Get really creative! The instruction sheet isn't necessary just an added bit of fun if you feel up to it.

Since these are robots and robots can come in all different shapes, colors, forms and ideals there really isn't a need to add any information about what you'd prefer in the comments section. If you have some color prefernces you can put them below, but lets not be too restrictive for our partner.

You can embellish your stuffies if you want to - e.g. buttons, ribbon - but they must be predominately made of felt. Please make something you would like to receive yourself. You may also want to check your partners profile for favourite colours.

littlewandas EDIT: I do not want to set a size that swappers feel they have to stick to, however, as a guideline I would say a 5" minimum. This could be width or height, depending on the kind of robot you make.

Please note this swap is for ROBOTS only The rules:

International

At least 5 rated swaps Γ’β‚¬β€œ online or email swap ratings do not count

A rating of 4.8 or above

No no-sends in the last 3 months - if you feel you have been unfairly rated, please message me and we can discuss it.I know about ratings being unfairly given or having bad luck with a swap. The discussion lines are open.

I'll be going through being extra careful for bad swappers as I'd really like this to go off without a hitch.

oh, fun! I love robots:) I haven't done any sewing in years, but I think I could pull this off. I think I'll see if I can make one up before the signup date, and if so, and it turns out cute, I'll go ahead and sign up.:)

i'm going to sign up, but i wish that all these felt swaps could be made with diffrent fabrics... ilike to use a variety of fabric- cotton, satin, fuzzy, furry, etc... felt included. I understand why so many people like the felt, but i also find it limiting... just wanted to meantion that. i'm glad someone picked up this swap! if my partner wants to use a diffrent material please do! Ooo V you're making me want to do an alternate Robot swap!! :)

MrsMJ 04/ 8/2008 #

Do we have to use REAL wool felt or is the kind you get at a craft store ok? If my partner wants to use another fabric, that's cool with me. I'd actually prefer it because I would be giving this to my 2 year old and felt doesn't hold up too well in a 2 year old's hands. :)

This is for felt robots. I'll be doing an alternate fabric robot swap too. Wool felt, or crafting felt is fine as long as you don't overly stretch or pull the crafting felt which weakens it. :)

knitted robots would be awesome. Knitted and felted even...

ViridianMuse 04/18/2008 #

Oooo those would be fun! As soon as these two are underway. I might just have to make a amigurumi robot themed swap. :)

Hi everyone, I want to give the robot that I will receive to a one year old to play with, so no buttons/beads/other small parts as embellishments for me if at all possible please! Any fabrics are ok by me btw
