Description:

For this swap you will have 2 partners, and to each partner you will send 16 inchies which can be arranged in a 4-inch by 4-inch square to make a coherent whole.

For instance, you could use a photo you've taken, a piece of text from one of your favorite books, a drawing you've done, a collage you've made, an intriguing picture from a magazine, a bit of a map, or a reproduction of a famous piece of art. Crop it to a 4-inch by 4-inch square and back it with heavy cardstock or light-weight cardboard. Then cut the square into 16 separate inchies (1 inch by 1 inch) to send to one of your partners. Your partner will then have the pleasure of arranging the pieces to reassemble the larger square and see what you sent! Make another 4 by 4 square for your second partner, back it, cut it into inchies, and you're done.

It's completely up to you what you choose to make your puzzles out of; I've just given the examples above to (hopefully) spark your own imagination. As long as each partner gets 16 sturdily backed inchies which fit together to make a larger 4 by 4 square, anything goes!

Other details: 1) Newbies are welcome. 2) Non-newbie swappers with a rating below 4.90 will be dropped before partners are assigned. 3) I reserve the right to drop any swappers whose profiles seem to me to raise red flags; if you're worried about something in your profile, please contact me in advance. 4) This is an international swap.

I just made one of these a few hours ago and it was sweetly satisfying, so I'm hoping other people will be game for giving it a try!

I have had so much fun making my puzzles for this that I now have a collection of them in different sizes. Great idea.

I had my partners send their puzzles to my parents' house, but I'm not moving there for another two weeks! So I just wanted to let you know that I got someone's puzzle. I don't know whose, though, because it is way down in Washington and I'm in Victoria, BC! My mum said the package was from "trennery"...?

Thanks!

Newt
