Are you sending two ATCs to each of two partners or one ATC to each of two partners?

LunaMoody 11/ 9/2012 #

Sorry Its 1 per partner.....I'll fix that now....thanks for letting me know

So the atc has to be shaped as an owl as well?

LunaMoody 11/10/2012 #

yes it must be shaped like an owl. You can find patterns online for some or if you email me I will forward you 1 or 2

Magickspirit51 11/10/2012 #

So the ATC is not a standard 2.5x3.5?

Popcornikimppu1 11/10/2012 #

Maybe you could add to the headline/swap name something like "...with a twist". I just received owl-atc, that had to have piece of wood on it, and my partner did not remember that and had to send another. I think it is easier for all participants, when there stands something in the name that makes you to re-read the instructions. And yes, we should always read the inst. carefully and couple of times, but this is easy way to avoid trouble.

LunaMoody 11/11/2012 #

thank you Popcornikippu1.... i'll do that

LunaMoody 11/11/2012 #

And Yes the card still has to be standard size just cut into an owl shape.

magicinker 11/13/2012 #

Got a link to the owl pattern? or doesn't it matter which we use?

LunaMoody 11/14/2012 #

you can use any pattern you want or even make a pattern of your own as long as at some point the card measures 2.5x3.5

magicinker 11/14/2012 #

ok-Gotcha. I'm in !!

@user8179 I read the instructions carefully and I did not get "shape" to mean a cut-out. I generally accept that ATC 2.5 x 3.5 is rectangular. I have never seen an ATC that was not rectangular. I am sending new ATCs to my partners. Just FYI the word "shape" is not objective enough to me to indicate a cut-out, non-rectilinear form such as the outer edges being a silhouette. An example shown in the the swap would have helped a lot; you should have made one example ATC to show the intentions of the idea.

@user8179

My error was I sent this:

http://www.flickr.com/photos/87221361@N04/8180955576/in/photostream

Clear body shape of an owl, not a close up of an owl face, symbol or an abstraction, or a collage with an owl.

Now I am finding this example:

http://www.flickr.com/photos/kezmay/4506828725/

I am making a paper crafting owl cut-out ATC to send new ATCs to my trade partners. Please confirm this is correct.

@ARTG33K74 - there have been a few "non-standard" ATC swaps here on Swap-bot. They're a fun challenge!

Also, I love the standard ATC you made! I kind of wish you hadn't sent it so I could do a private swap with you for it.

magicinker 11/27/2012 #

This was fun! I loved that it wasn't a traditional card..SMILE !
