For this swap you will create 1 DAY OF THE DEAD inspired ornament for 1 partner. This is a 3D HANDMADE TREE ORNAMENT Swap to be inspired by the Mexican festival of Dia de los Muertos/ ''Day of The Dead''. So think sugar skulls, La Catrina, Posada etc. Size wise I would say make something between 3''- 5'' in height. Please spend time and effort creating a beautiful ''Day of the Dead'' inspired tree ornament that you would love to display yourself. Tree ornament can be made from scratch or you could significantly alter an existing object or tree ornament Dia de los Muertos style. Clay, fabric, assemblage, altered arts, altered dolls, tin shrines, altered metal cookie cutters, jelly/tart moulds, large chandelier crystals etc are all good. Add skulls, beads, lace, baubles, ribbons, sequins, flowers, milagros, colourful trim, mini pompom trim, rhinestones, glitter and other sparkly stuff to adorn your ornament. Make your ornament durable so it will last for years to come. Any images need to be properly sealed with glass/resin domes, Diamond Glaze or another suitable protective layer. Also, as it is a tree ornament do not forget to add ribbon etc to hang it from. NO PAPER ORNAMENTS PLEASE. This is not a Christmas ornament and is completely Day of the Dead/ Dia de los Muertos themed so everyone can join in whatever kind of holiday tree you have. Remember to pack your ornament well so that it does not get damaged in the post. Serious swappers only please as I am not able to angel this swap. You must have a 4.9 rating or higher to join. No ''no sends'' ever. I will check profiles thoroughly before assigning partners and ban any suspicious swappers. Although, as this is a group swap I'm guessing there won't be any problems. For more information or inspiration google ''Day of the Dead'' or ''Dia de los Muertos'' and checkout artwork on flickr and etsy. Any questions please feel free to ask. |
