Hello swap-bot friends!

The days here in Ontario are getting shorter and the weather is turning cooler. We have officially begun digging out our light jackets, scarves and mittens!

Ah, mittens....I love mittens! I do however have difficulty keeping track of them... Sad, but true... I lose at least one a year, and it always seems that the one that goes missing is the mate to a favoured pair!

And so here it is - inspired by absent-minded people everywhere.... the nod to the Lost Mitten - Handmade Postcard!

You will make one postcard to be sent to one partner.

Please make your postcard DURABLE - so that it will survive the trials of traveling via international mail! The medium is senders choice. You way draw, paint and embellish all you like - just make sure it is sturdy!

You can start right away. Postcards are to be sent naked (meaning NOT in an envelope).

I am opening this one up to newbies; please ensure that you have at least 2 paragraphs filled out on your profile. For the rest of you wonderful swappers - I ask that you have no unexplained 1s or 3s in the past 6 months. I will not be able to angel this one, but I will be checking profiles thoroughly.

Friendly swappers only please!

Simple. Easy, Fun! Hope you can join in!

Both are welcome!

this is funny! You should do one for the lost sock too. :>) Watching for now till I get some ideas.

Aw, thanks @Gofeen Perhaps if it's a successful swap, I may turn it into a series! :o)

What a sweet-natured swap! I like the way you have worded it - - I'm in!

Yay! Thanks for joining, @kerrydwynn

I love the idea, but I don´t trust mail that much that I would send anything I made to go thru it without protectiion of envelope.

@Popcornikimppu1 thanks for your complement and the feedback. Naked hand-made postcard swaps aren't necessarily for everyone... You do need to ensure that the cardboard you use is sturdy. Sometimes I even glue two pieces of cardboard together. For my own personal taste, I rather like receiving mail that looks a little tattered by the time it arrives; as the recipient I feel like it gives me a better sense of the miles crossed! I realize I am kind-of silly/sentimental that way though! :o)

... just changed the wording of the swap a bit; the original wording mentioned including "an ode" (a type of lyrical verse) to the lost mitten. This is NO LONGER a requirement. To satisfy the requirements of the swap, PCs simply need to have an image of a mitten. I am sorry for any confusion this may have caused. Thanks for joining, everyone! :o)
