Added Sept. 13:
Send a note card or a postcard or a correspondence card or a postalette with a humorous message to each of your 3 partners.

Humorous message = funny or silly story, joke, quote, cartoon, etc.

To join, you must have:

  • a filled out profile (not just a couple of sentences, and must include information that your partners can use to tailor their swaps to you, e.g., fave colours, styles, themes, animals, places, foods, etc.)
    and
  • a minimum 4.95 rating
    and
  • no 1 ratings (unless you believe they are unfair, in which case please pm me in advance of joining to discuss)
    and
  • no unexplained 3 ratings

Unrated newbies are welcome too.

I will angel if you don't receive your swap as long as you have rated your partner a 1. (I will also report flakers to FOPS and in the PFs.)

Don't forget to include your Swap-bot name and the name of this swap on your swaps so your partners can rate you.

Have fun!

Greetings!

May I know the postcard need to be sent in an envelope or not? Thanks!

TerryF 09/10/2012 #

If you send a postcard, it is your choice whether to mail it in a envelope or to mail it "naked". Most people seem to prefer their PCs naked, but some do like them in envelopes.

To be really sure, you could read your partners' profiles to see if they specify one way or the other. If they do not, you could always pm them to ask their preference.

But the bottom line is that it is sender's choice for this swap so you may do it either way.

If you are new to Swap-bot, I strongly encourage you to:

  • read all of the info in the various links at the bottom of the page to understand how this site works
    AND
  • ask to join the Newbies Mentoring Group run by @Amigirl - there you will be paired with an experienced swapper who will help you navigate this wonderful place and answer your questions

Today I added correspondence cards and postalettes to the swap in addition to note cards and PCs (postcards).

TerryF 09/13/2012 #

A correspondence card is like a PC in that it is not folded. Usually it has decoration on one side and you write on the other, or the decoration and writing are on one side and the other side is left blank.

A postalette is also known as a self-folding letter - it folds in on itself to make its own envelope. You can see an example of one open and closed here.

When will we get partners?

TerryF 09/18/2012 #

Technically, I have until September 24 to assign partners - but not to worry, I will assign them shortly. (";)

Partners have now been assigned. To find out who they are, go to the top right box on this page and click on "See the partners you send to". A new box will open with your partners' mailing info.

Don't forget to include your Swap-bot name and the name of this swap so your partners can rate you.
