Description:

Thank you to Lexidh for allowing me to host a couple of these swaps :-)

Who doesn't like gifts? They are perhaps one of the best things in life, no matter the occation. In this swap series, no matter who is hosting it and what the theme is, you get one partner, and to this partner you send 6 individually wrapped gifts, all according to the swap theme. It does not matter how you wrap them, if it's in envelopes, tissue, christmas paper (all year round), brown paper bags, newspaper, aluminium foil, be creative and use what you have! You are required to rate your partner as soon as you get your gifts, no matter if you are going to open them at once or not. Some may save these gifts for a special occation, as stocking stuffers or as part of advent calendars (joining 4 of these swaps will make one whole advent calendar!), it's all up to the recipient =)

The theme for this swap is:

WOODLAND! Think gnomes (my personal fav), fairies, toadstools, deer, raccoons, owls, turtles, moss, etc. These items are used in summer crafts and gardening so there is a great selection out there currently - i've even found many items on sale now!

I need to know the answer to this as well. I was thinking of making a small felt plushie to include as one of the gifts.

I just checked the group form and if I read it right yes we can hand make things so I'm off to crochet some goodies.

Oh yes, handmade is fine! Sorry for the delay in responding :-) *hollydays - if you don't wind up as my partner, would you mInd sharing your patterns? I'm a gnome freak, lol

Thanks ladies - I'm excited about this swap!!

Just thinking about receiving a handmade gnome or fairy is quite exciting!! I love receiving handmade items. Most that I send will be bought though, as my crafting skills are a lot lower than many on swap bot. But I am enjoying finding the cutest woodland things I can and trying to make sure it is a variety of types of things. I love this theme :)

*emily - purchased items are perfectly fine! Mine will be mostly purchased as well, due to my crazy work schedule right now! I had visions of all the lovely crafty woodland things I wanted to make when I put this swap together though, lol. I'm excited and very much looking forward to this one!!

I'm waiting on one more purchase to arrive before I ship out. I haven't had time to make the tiny plushie though. =) This was a fun swap!
