The first matchbox fill was my first swap ever and I had a lot of fun doing it....so I couldn't resist this time.

Not a dumb question at all...... where are the match boxes. I found them near the toothpicks.

I have found the bigger match boxes but can't find the smaller boxes!!! I had to beg my one friend to get a small box!!!

you can find matchboxes in the checkout lines at walmart. they are about .50 each

You can find matchboxes at a dollar store. They come in a pack of 10-20(don't remember the exact number) for only a $1!

why not fold your own box from pretty papers as long as it is similar in size....

Blue crayons. A smaLL padded envelope is probably the best mailing option and you can find your partner the day after the closing date by clicking on 'view your swap partner' in above the swap box.

If my swap partner is reading this, I am on a quest for lots and lots of postal stamps (like the ones you cut off of envelopes that come in the mail)...hint hint!

Does everything we put in the box have to be in the Christmas theme???

Babyblue and Crumpeter email me and I will send you postage stamps. I used to collect and still do but I am trying to clean house, I have way too many.

The box should be mainly Christmasy but that can be stretched if your strugging, just think red, green, gold, glitter!

Yay! I'm starting on mine right now. This is going to be so fun! For my swap partner, I like Japanese things-I guess with an X-masy twist? Black and red and white is good for me.

Festive to me means "winter solstice!"...I’m thinking moons and stars...darkness and candlelight...blue, and white, and glittery!

OMG! this was so fun! I am also just waiting for the send date. Its jam packed and I thought that this theme is the best for a swap because it is really a fun challenge to find such eency weency items to put in. Its harder than it seems at first, but oh so fun.

i've already wrapped my box with nice wrapper, and filled it up with some stuff. i saw some really micro christmas decorations and will get my hands on them soon!

Well folks.. I filled and wrapped my match box swap and have it ready to mail, when I noticed that I may have used the wrong size box. :( I am going tomorrow AM and look for the smaller box and some tiny things to place in it. I will then mail it and the original one I made to my swap partner. Sorry I didnt get it in the mail today. I hope you will understand why u have two boxes..... At least this way I know u will get the right size.. whichever it is.. Besides I really enjoy filling the box, it was great fun! Lynn

To the swap coordinator: I'm sorry to underline this thing but...I noticed that in swap partecipants list we have more than 10 people with a blank profile and 3/4 people with various not-sent... I'm really tired of being disappointed by takers, sorry.

Is there any reason why there is no "complete list of swap participants" for this particular swap? All the other swaps I've joined have that and it works. This one has no names, just the avatars and a really large cat picture at the end. ????

Tirabaralla - your matchbox was most definitiely posted by me this morning. the post office lady said it'll take a week to reach Italy and maybe a couple of days to get to you - let me know when it arrives!

Tirabarralla & nonparieldolls please read my comment just above yours. I could not bar non-senders as I could not view the list. I tried to rectify it but was unable to do so. Short of cancelling the whole thing there was nothing I could do!

absolutely wonderful box from wren on the run!!!i love the vintage hanky and the gummed stickers.i had been looking for the holly sequins to use in a project.the embellishments(wreaths,candy canes, snowflakes,etc).. are so cute. i have lots to work with! kate is a great partner(her alotid box was just great too! thanks again!

I sent mine to England on the day before Thanksgiving and my post office lady said that it would take about 2 weeks. I sure hope that my partner takes a photo since I forgot to. (Silly me, I was just excited to get it in the mail!)

My Matchbox was at home when I arrived back from Summer holidays today - posted from Lower King, Australia - and full of nice goodies - but there's no email or return address and I can't read the signature, but thanks to my sender :)
