Description:

One of my favorite new crafts is creating interesting envelopes out of random old book pages.

So, for this swap you will send a letter to your partner, but instead of using a regular envelope you'll be using one you made yourself.

You will have only ONE partner and will send only ONE letter.

Feel free to use any sort of paper you want for the envelope, as long as it isn't a single solid color. My favorite is using pages from children's books or old magazines.

The letter itself can be written on anything you'd like: A card, notebook paper, stationary, etc. The subject of the letter is also up to you. The focus of this is to send a cool, unique envelope.

Please be sure your envelope is secure and won't fall apart in the mail. A piece of tape covering the flap in the back would more than likely be enough if the sides are glued securely, but use your own discretion.

Extra Info:

  • Newbies allowed only with a full profile.
  • Rated swappers must have a 4.3 or higher.
  • International swappers are welcome.
  • I reserve the right to ban questionable swappers.

I made Christmas Tags and envelopes for Christmas this past year. They went over great. But, I glued the flap down too good... Next time, I will use two sided tape !!!!! Already got an idea for the envelope !!! Looking forward to this swap...

Cool, I too have just started making my own envelopes. Does it have to be a letter or can it be a poem or short story.

Littlelina - Personally I would love a poem or short story. Feel free to write anything you'd like!

For everyone else - if you'd like to stuff your envelope with random goodies instead of a long letter, I don't think anyone here would mind :)

Okay thank you.

I thought I was the only one who used childrens books for envelopes! They are great sizes. I found a huge stash at a local library book sale! I paid 25 cents each for them and walk away with envelope making heaven! I am very excited to start this one.

I did not receive anything from Adolpha. Can I be assigned another partner? I sent my envelope to sisternat, and it was returned by the post office, and now she is fully suspended.

This is my first experience with two disappointments on the same swap!
