Description:

I have hosted swaps with this designers patterns before and thought this would be a fun one!! For this swap:

  • You are making ONE potholder for ONE partner

  • THIS is the pattern we will use - it is a CROCHET pattern, but if you are skilled enough to make a modify it into a knitting pattern you can knit it instead.

  • It is SENDER'S CHOICE as far as colors, but you must change colors with EACH "round"..each yarn only being used twice PER potholder.. a variegated (multicolor) yarn ONLY counts as 1 color (however you CAN use different varigated yarns for each round).

  • You have to do a minimum of 7 "rounds" - this 7 includes the center circle and doesn't count any fancy edging you may decide to finish it with (although it's not required to do a fancy edging)

  • DO NOT use any acrylic yarn with this one b/c hot pots will be sitting on it and acrylic will melt. I recommend either 100% cotton or wool. If you use acrylic yarn you run the risk of getting a 3 rating on this swap. Reading and adhering to directions is VERY important.

  • Be sure that your project is not covered in pet fur (or people hair for that matter) - it's a good idea to take a lint brush to it before you pack it for shipping.

  • Also, please do your very best to keep it clean and cigarette smoke smell free. Yarn is one of the hardest things to get cigarette smoke smell out of.

  • NO RECENT OR MULTIPLE 1'S OR 3'S

  • I reserve the right to ban anyone who seems fishy - this is for the protection of my participants.

What would be an overall diameter of the finished mandala?? I am assuming that everyone is using different yarns and hooks or needles so the number of rows doesn't really count.

we are only going by number of rounds - im not really do concerned about exact diameter.
