Comment: Thanks for the multiple books and especially thanks for the origami work -- the cat is so darling he won't be a book mark, he'll live on my bulletin board, and the flower is lovely. I'll keep my eyes open for the Jack Gilbert poetry and maybe the "words" books too.

Comment: Thank you for the moose Christmas card. I do not have one in my collection. I also loved the AK PC. -44 I just couldn't live there! The origami wreath is very cute, I can't wait to show it to a co-worker who does origami. You did not put the name of the swap on your card or envelope so it was difficult to find you to rate.

Omi rated for Blackout Poetry Swap on Oct 21, 2014

Comment: Love the poems, and the books you picked! It was my first time doing this sort of poem as well- I used phrases instead of words. You're right, it is a surprising challenge. You sit down and think, "easy peasy, the words are all there already, I just have to find them" but there are SO MANY words!
Response: I'm glad you enjoyed them! In addition to finding them surprisingly hard to come up with, I also kept messing up the actual blackout part. After doing my own I browsed around and saw many different, interesting ways to make blackout poems. I think I'll be making some more, possibly leaving little paths to guide the eye, which would help a lot!
