Comment: Thank you for the package. Better late than never, right? Very late package. Wrote all over it that it was a resend, although she told me "that the post office sent it back." You made me feel like I was in the wrong, like I accepted two of your swaps, although I doubt you sent the other. Then you validated how late my package was by saying you studied my profile and put a lot of time into it. I'm not into teddy bears, or any of the sports you sent, there really wasn't anything from my profile in those stickers. Frustrated because you just didn't apologize. Too many excuses.

Comment: She said she sent on Dec. 5th and then on the 14th said it came back for insufficent postage and would resend. I have sent messages asking if she resent, but have not got a response. I know if I mail a package for insufficent postage it comes back the next day or two, not 8 days later. This was my very first swap and I am so dissapointed first off from not recieving the swap and 2 for not responding and at least explaing after I have sent messages. I also seen on profile where that story has been told several times. So thats why I feel sad also. I finally received my swap on January 11. It was post marked January 8th and she said she had sent several times, but other swaps to europe arrived she said. I feel like I should change my rating from a 1 to a 3 because of all the excuses, which she has used on alot of swaps, and because it was well over the send by date which was December 6. She marked it sent on December 5th. I hate giving a 3 on my first swap but I have to send my swaps by send date and I always use tracking.

Comment: I received the card and stickers today; thank you very much! But, I still consider it very late since you messaged me on the 14th of December saying you got it back for insufficient postage, but waited until January 8th to resend it.

Comment: Even 4 months later, glad to have received something.
Response: I tried to get in touch with you about this swap several times and never heard back from you. You never sent out your angel swap as you promised. I never even got a package from this swap.

Comment: My package arrived today.
Response: This is a very unfair rating.... It is sad that this swap was totally unappreciated after money was spent to send twice after the first swap never arrived and my contents inside were lost. I use the supplies I sent in my own smash books so for them to be called unusable is quite insulting. My partner sent much less to me than I did in both packages I sent to you. Everyone's definition of ephemera and smash supplies is different. You need to be aware of that before you sign up for this type of swap. Perhaps you should reread the swap requirements. Nothing I sent you was on the DO NOT SEND list. It States send along something you would like to receive and use and that is exactly what I did.

Comment: This swap was a ridiculous wait, and just so you know Susan, I am not stupid. Just because you printed the label on June 4th (which you tried to block out with a Sharpie) I can still track the package and see you never dropped it off with the post office until the 16th. This swap was due to be sent out May 11th. So I finally got the swap, and you did include lots of extras, but not much Ill use. After lying about when it was sent, multiple times. I do appreciate the extras, but I can not look past the fact that you lied so many times about when it was sent, and then tried to trick me by blocking out the date you printed the label. I can see on your profile that you seem to have packages go "missing" every so often like this. Seems to be a pattern with you, and I refuse to rate you with a 5 when you have done this to multiple people it seems.
Response: First off.... that was extremely rude of you to accuse me and call me out in front of everyone the way you did. You should have messaged me first to resolve any situations you had... Secondly I have no control over the mail. I sent the package to the post office on June 4 and how dare you accuse me of marking out the date... I have had several packages arrive to me with dates marked out. On more than one occasion .... Thirdly that package was the THIRD I sent to you using my hard earned money to make sure it got to you. Not to mention sending out my supplies from my own stash I have.... and to have it get lost. So I am out shipping money and items.... just to make sure you had something .... you need to think before you just accuse and assume...

Comment: I got this swap in the mail a few days ago, three months after the deadline. I won’t be rising my rating higher than a 3 for a couple of reasons. I know you said you sent out this swap three times, and that the post office must have messed up twice, but I've never had any issues with swaps not arriving to my home (and that includes people massively messing up my address, such as writing the wrong town name!). Which, okay, that alone isn’t a big deal—perhaps the post office did lose this swap twice. I’m sure it happens. But then I looked through some of your ratings and noticed that this happens to you a lot—sending swaps multiple times that never arrive until you finally send one with a tracking number that shows up months later. Hm. If this happens so often why don’t you always send your swaps with a tracking number? And then I opened your package and saw the note you wrote me, which was in two different inks…with my name and the resend number written in blue ink while the rest was in black. It was like a form letter where you filled in the blanks. It also appeared to be written on two separate occasions, with the front looking like something you meant to include in swap #1 (with no mention of the previous two swaps that went awry) and the back looking like it was added for swap #2, since it apologized for “the first two package” that had gone missing—with the word ‘two’ obviously shoehorned in at a later date in a different pen. What I’m saying is that I feel like I’m being lied to. Maybe I’m wrong. Maybe the post office misplaced the previous two swaps. Maybe the note you included was completely normal & I’m just reading too much into it. But I don’t think so, and I don’t appreciate being treated like that. And since I don't actually believe that you sent this swap by the original deadline, I'm rating you a 3.
Response: I don't appreciate being called a lier. I put my whole heart and soul into every swap I send and it is very disheartening when swaps don't arrive. I find it extremely insulting that you think my personal note was a "form letter" and was written at different times. I sent this out THREE TIMES with you finally getting it the third time. I am out as well wether you realize it or not. I am out the money I spent to send the swaps and out the items that were lost in the mail. For you to rate based on whatever everyone else rates is very upsetting as well. Put yourself in my place. How would you feel if you were falsely accused of not sending swaps and knowing you did and having them get lost?? I have had packages I was supposed to receive get lost as well. I don't send every swap with tracking because that becomes quite expensive and as you can see, most of my swaps do not need tracking because they arrive the first time they are sent. Why on earth would I send swaps to certain people and not others?? I send all my swaps on time every time....

Comment: For some junk today.
Response: Sent this swap THREE times.... Here is the latest tracking number.... 9405503699300226040070. Not sure what else I can do.... This was not deserving of a three.... The stuff I sent was brand new that you refer to as "junk". It was a destash swap and did not require new items to be sent. I sent a lot of new anyway and it is very insulting for it to be called "junk"!

Comment: Swap received This swap was so disappointing. After much delay, once the swap send date being pushed with my knowledge then a second time a swap date change without my knowledge so my partner would not be late on sending.... Once my partner claimed to have sent my swap, instead of sending it in the padded flat rate envie that I included for her when I sent her my swap (which automatically includes a tracking number) she sent it in a different envie without tracking because "she was in a rush" the package never arrived and I was told she would resend and it has been quite some time. I am very dis heartened... I held off on rating because I have never given bad feedback before and was really hoping my partner would come thru so I would not have to.
Response: Can you please tell me why this rating is still a one when I resent this and according to the tracking you have received it. This certainly was not a one worthy package.... :-(. Here is the tracking number for that package.... 9405503699300202609536. It was delivered January 17.

Comment: I have thought long and hard about how to rate you for this swap and have decided on a three. For anyone wondering why, here’s the story: You marked it sent on the 5th, messaged me on the 10th to tell me it had been returned and you had no idea why and you would be resending the next day. I asked you to include the original envelope so I would have proof of when it was sent, and so I could use it in collage. You then claimed that the envelope had been destroyed and when I asked why you didn't just say that in the first place you said your husband picked up the mail and you didn't know. I said to go ahead and include it anyway as I generally tear things up for collages, you then claimed that it had already gone out to the dumpster and the trash men had already come so you couldn’t send it. There were a lot of excuses and I’m just finding them very difficult to believe. The tipping point for me however was the fact that you told your other partner for this swap the exact same story about why their envelope was going to be late to.
Response: First off, I don't appreciate being called a lier. Both of your swaps were returned on the same day, however, hers was not as destroyed as yours. I messaged her and let her know what happened just as I did with you. My husband did get the mail that day, as he does every day, so I wasn't aware of the condition of the envelope until I got home. It was beyond repair and by the time you asked for it back it had indeed already left in the garbage. As I have said before I have no control over the mail. What happens when it leaves my hands is beyond my control. I even included several nice extras for what happened. I feel you rated very unfairly due to mail issues....

Comment: Susan, thank you for the swap items. This swap met requirements, however the send by date was the 09/16/2013, when it arrived it was postmarked with the 25th. I am sorry, but sending late, especially without communication is grounds for a 3 rating. I truly hope you understand. Happy Swapping! ETA: I know that you have no control over the mail once it leaves your hands, but I just dont believe that the post office held your mail for 9 days before postmarking it and sending it on. Had I received a simple message regarding the lateness this would not have been an issue. I always rate fairly and as you know, if you send late you run the risk of receiving a negative rating. I have no intention of changing my rating as you have requested several times. Again, I hope you understand.
Response: You rated me very unfairly. This was sent on the due date..... I can not control the mail once it leaves my hands. I think you should take that into consideration when rating someone. Also, a 3 is only supposed to be given when the swap items are not any where close to what the swap calls for. That is per Swapbot rules. I hope you change your rating since it isn't my fault what the post office does when it leaves me..... I DIDN'T SEND LATE!!! I KNOW EXACTLY WHEN I SENT IT..... IT WAS NOT SENT LATE SO WHY WOULD I MESSAGE YOU WHEN IT WAS SENT ON TIME. I TALKED TO THE FREAKING POSTMASTER AT MY POST OFFICE AND KNOW WHAT SHE TOLD ME SO YOU DID NOT RATE FAIRLY ON THIS SWAP AT ALL..... I DO NOT UNDERSTAND YOUR LOGIC AT ALL.

Comment: 11/13/12: Thank you for the postcard of Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky. :) The 3 rating is because the swap deadline was Oct. 25 and though the swap was marked "Sent" on Oct. 26, the postmark was a week later on Nov. 2, and I received no communication that it would be sent late. UPDATE 11/14/12 in reply to your 2nd request that I retract my rating: Susan, as I mentioned in my PM, the Send By date of a swap is part of the swap requirements. If you are late in sending, you run the risk of being rated down. Again, as I stated, many swappers will overlook lateness if you have communicated that you're going to be late, myself included. I also agreed with you that you do not have any control over your mail once it leaves your hands, but I don't understand why the post office would hold your mail for 7-8 days before postmarking it and sending it on its way. The postcard was postmarked Fri. Nov. 2nd and I received it on Mon. Nov. 5th. It arrived timely enough, it just wasn't mailed on time. And that is why I have rated the swap a 3. It is a fair rating for a swap sent late with no communication. I believe your other partner for this swap rated you very generously, though it may not be totally accurate. And that is her option, just as it is yours to rate your fellow swappers a 5 when they have not followed the swap requirements.
Response: I am glad you got the postcard, but I don't think that rating me a 3 is fair. As I said before, I have no control over the mail. I haven gotten things late too with no message and still rated a 5 because I received what the swap called for. You state that you received it a week late, you are supposed to give at least two weeks before you rate anyway. I do hope that you retract your rating of 3 and rate fairly with a 5. I would do the same for you....
