Response: Wow! Moss in dishes. I have a bunch of houseplants and will try moss this summer. Totally not TMI, thank you so mush for sharing! I'm glad you liked the card - I joined that swap just to be able to send it to someone!
Response: I'm glad you like it!
Response: Hi! Ojibwe wasn't a written language until pretty recently, so I've seen lots of different ways of writing things out. You are mostly right on! Gakaabikaang is a word that means at the waterfall. Here's a link to more Ojibwe place names: https://decolonialatlas.wordpress.com/2015/04/14/the-great-lakes-in-ojibwe-v2/ The long phrase is just one English word: blueberry pie. It's the longest word in Ojibwe.
Response: I'm glad you liked the postcard and the surprise Native language. I was glad to be accepted into the swap. Google doesn't have a translator for most Native American Languages. The translation includes ~ I'm Shannon and I'm from Minneapolis. I'm going to the post office later. [and then the longest word in Ojibwe:] Blueberry pie. Be thankful for everything ~
Response: You're welcome! :)
Response: Yay! I picked it out just for you! :)
Response: I'm so glad you love the postcard!
Response: Sorry for my delayed response! I'm glad you liked the postcard!
